Spidercam performing on cricket sports event.
Spidercam flew at the brand-new Narendra Modi Stadium, before known as Motera Stadium, inside the Sardar Patel Sports Enclave in Ahmedabad, India. The stadium was constructed in 1983 and has reopened its doors in February 2020 after 5 years of renovation. It is the world’s largest cricket stadium with a seating capacity of 132,000 spectators.
Spidercam was already on site when the third test between India and England started as a day-night game and we were also flying over the cricket field during fourth and final game of the series in March. And that’s not all: We were placed at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and the MCA Stadium in Pune too to take the best shoots of the England Tour of India 2020/2021 for you!
In these times it is an organizational challenge to set a sport event of course, but also a human challenge, when working in a bio-secure-bubble for weeks! We would therefore like to thank every single employee for their commitment, passion and team spirit! Our appreciation is also due to the cricketers for their sporty performance under these conditions. It was a tournament worth seen it!
