CROATIA: Elections 2020
A new age is beginning for transmission of political events.
On 5th July the 2020 Croatian parliamentary election was broadcasted live by HRT as a TV-special for 6 hours. The design of the show was created by Croatel and to ensure a smooth moving through a studio filled with augmented reality a spidercam equipped with a NEWTON stabilized head for controlling a Sony HDC-P43 4K camera was installed. The studio was vamped up this way to present the latest figures in a clear and exiting way for audience. The physical studio and AR-setting were in a smooth interaction, so in a sense, the transition from reality to virtuality was seamless.
“When we installed the Spidercam in the studio, we pushed hard to get as much flight space as possible and we used every cm of flight height we could squeeze out. It was great to see that work pay off when the shots finally aired and the studio appeared gigantic”, Jan Peters, the CEO of spidercam said.
